Alec Lindstrom scouting report

Very quick. Good speed for his size. Excellent lateral quickness. Very quick and fluid in his motion. Light on his feet. Moves very well while running shift protection. Great snap set. Effortless. Great upper body strength. Dominant. Really great stiff arm – has suitable length to create issues with his strength. Stout and flexible lower body.

Has that brute strength in him. Really great power. Loves to finish his blocks. Great bend. Shows it consistently against tough competition. Flashes a very strong recovery. Quick feet and excellent lean into the defender. Great hand placement at times. Helps move the defender with him and locks the block with outside shoulders. Strong hands. Excellent work. Limits finesse work.

Good strength on his drop into pass protection, though balance might be more of an issue. Very strong run blocker. Has the ability to get downhill very quickly and effectively. Doesn’t work into the second level as much due to his desire to finish his assignment dominantly.

What we want to see from Alec Lindstrom in Las Vegas

  • We just want to see Alec Lindstrom perform up to expectations this week. We know he’s a superb pass protector, he looks decent in run blocking, and as a result he should be the first center off the board, maybe even if Tyler Linderbaum declares from Iowa. As long as he takes care of business in Las Vegas, he should be fine.

Pre-Shrine Bowl projection

We love what Alec Lindstrom brings to the field. Lindstrom’s pass protection ability, anchor, and bend are all traits and tools to get very excited about. We love to see it. We think he’s a potential eight-to-ten year starter at the next level and a big impact player.

We like Lindstrom going in the first/second-round range. This is one of the top names performing at the Shrine Bowl this season and we are very excited to see how he performs at the Shriners event.
